Hey everyone!
I would like to invite you to Grymuar — a hobby-driven Metin2 server that I started mainly because my friends and I could not really find a suitable server to play on together.
This is not a project created by a large team, nor is it a server designed to make money. I work on it in my free time, learn new things along the way, and regularly change or add features that we and the players believe could improve the gameplay.
The server is based on MT2009 files, but a lot has already been changed compared to the original version. New fixes, systems, quality-of-life features, and balance changes are added regularly. I also try to listen to the community — many decisions are made through polls and discussions on Discord.
No Pay2Win
Grymuar does not have traditional Pay2Win mechanics, and there is no need to spend real money to play normally or use the Item Shop.
Dragon Coins can be earned directly in the game, including through:

[li]drops from selected bosses,[/li]
[li]various in-game activities and additional sources introduced as the server develops,[/li]
[li]contests organised on Discord.[/li]

Every new account also receives 30 days of VIP for free. After it expires, another VIP period can be purchased from the Item Shop using Dragon Coins earned through gameplay.
We also regularly organise separate contests on Discord where players can win Dragon Coins or VIP access.
Should the current sources of Dragon Coins prove insufficient, we will create a poll and let the players decide where additional drops should be added. I want the Item Shop to remain something accessible through active gameplay, rather than an advantage reserved for whoever spends the most real money.
Why Am I Posting the Server on a Forum?
To be honest, I originally had no plans to post Grymuar on forums or advertise it heavily online. The server was supposed to be a small place for me, my friends, and anyone who happened to discover it.
Over time, however, we decided that having a few more players would make the experience much better. We do not need thousands of players or huge online numbers. We would simply like to see more guilds, trading, competition, and people we can occasionally have some proper fights with. XD
I am not going to promise a perfect server without any bugs. This is a hobby project that I am constantly developing and improving. I read every reasonable suggestion, and whenever players report a problem or share an interesting idea, I try to see what can be done.
For anyone looking for a relaxed, old-school Metin2 experience without pressure to spend money, where Dragon Coins can be earned in-game and players can influence the future development of the project, I invite you to give Grymuar a try.

The presentation on the website has recently been heavily rebuilt. It contains a much more detailed description of the server’s systems, classes, events, character progression, and the changes that have already been introduced.
Hopefully, this post will help us gather a few more players so that we finally have more people to fight with. XD
